This is how I look at it, too. I think it was a very nice gesture and we were thrilled to receive one as well (I think I did the squealy Kel-dance in the car when Lance brought over the mail from the box). We weren't expecting it at all, and Lance and I were really excited and happy about it. And Gaile's purple handwriting always makes me smile! :: hugs ANet staff :: The card is SO cute, thank you!

Happy holidays to ANet and all my fellow players, hoping that everyone has a blast in the Wintersday festivities this year!

Great card, great job by Anet!

I wonder what percent of the 1300 are guru posters?

I didn't get one and I don't really want to make a rant, but if they are going to spend the money to send someone a card at least include a code for a minipet.

Why does every nice gesture from Anet have to include a mini pet nowadays?

This is Bull.

This destroys the economy of the game. Now any noob can get hand-signed cards for christmas. I had to work very hard to get mine before, now theyll only be worth 90k instead of 100k!!! Total ruin of the economy. Once again Gaile fails at releasing information that we TRUE gamers could manipu... use to continue having fun. I am going to quit now and ANet you will regret it, I will tell all my friends (they all play Guild Wars until now), and we will go play WoW. CHANGE THIS BACK NOW OR I WILL QUIT!!!!!!

/awesome rant of +1 sarcasm

Seriously, 1300? My god, how the hell did you all find TIME to sign them? Did you all clone yourselves? If so, cheers on inventing instant human cloning, and happy holidays!

I hope you didn't send me one, as I have moved three times since signing up for Guild Wars. I would rather someone recieve it then let my old address throw it away . But honestly I doubt I deserve one (makes pathetic pout while PMs Gaile my current permanent address.....)

I love the art, would really dig if someone got up some larger high res, I love ANets concept/special art, and this one is just plain awesome.

Happy Holidays and thanks for the excellent game and personal attention. If I could meet you guys in person I would buy you all a round of (real) spiked eggnog .

Grats to the few that recieved one of these great cards.

I honestly can't believe how many people have not figured out how they got the addresses though. When you first install the game and enter in your first cd key you have to fill in some info including name and address. You only have to do this once per acount so i guess it is easy to forget about it.

It's also possible (even likely) that the addresses came from other things; for instance, contest winners.

Well, just curious, but is there anything the winners have in common?

If you can do one card every 15 seconds, that's 5 and a half hours of work.

Hmmm, last I checked, in the working world, I don't have 5 and a half hours to generously give out to sign things.

Thats if there is only one signature as well. Consider.... every signature on there, thats 5 and a half hours per person. Thats a lot of time to give up to work, even with overtime.

Which makes this even better, because they really put in some extra time to do this .

I lol'd.

Nice thought though, I remember when I had a problem with my PSP at x-mas Sony sent me a hand signed apology, seasons greeting card and a game carrying case.

Lil' things like sending the cards show that ANET do care about their player base.
